In a world with children and pre-teens glued to their screens,
how can we reignite interest and curiosity in the natural world?
Outdoor education is dwindling… and 70% of kids have phones by
age 12. So why don’t we leverage the power technology holds in
the lives of the next generation, and harvest it as a vessel to learn?

We want to use Pokémon Go as a means to introduce kids to
interesting plant species through the new educational spinoff app,
Pokémon Grow, featuring a new class of limited edition Pokémon.

We had to give Pokémon Go! a #GrowUp
(get it, ‘cause #GlowUp) - Pokémon Grow’s
app interface mimics the original, but with
the new Garden class of characters and
an educational twist. To level up, players
will have to read up and study for
in-app quizzes to get candy.
